Balance of Routine

The Balance of the bartender's routine refers to the way they break up their routine. If a bartender performs for five minutes and four of it is spent on one particular style, such as bottle tin or three bottle, for instance, then the remaining minute is used to bang out the drinks, that is not considered a good balance. If a bartender has to rush at the end of the round to finish up the drinks, that would affect the bartender's balance.

Bartenders Bash Islamorada Florida USA

Since the mid eighties the Holiday Isle Resort in Islamorada, the Keys, has played host to Bartenders Bash.

Once a year for two days during May this tiny resort (178 rooms) welcomes Bartenders and members of the hospitality industry for sun, sea and sex.

Liquor companies take over hotel rooms and serve their brand to the industry who party like crazy in the hotel rooms, on the beach, on boats and in the ocean under the hot Florida sun.

There is a small Flair Competition that takes place on the first day and traditionally attracts more rookies than seasoned pros on account of the low prize money. It is a low stress competition and provides an excellent platform for newbies to get their feet wet and get into the professional circuit.

Bumps

If any kind of bar object, while in flight, makes momentary contact with any part of your body which in turn either helps propel or changes the prior trajectory of that object then it is referred to as a bump.

The current undisputed king of bumps is Rodrigo Delpech from Argentina who incredibly has achieved well over 100 forearm bottle bumps. In the video clip above you can see Rodrigo throwing six forearm bottle bumps to a stall.
